Joan is an illustrator, writer, and graphic designer. In additon to creating work for gallery exhibitions, juried competitions, curated shows, magazines and books, she is the illustrator of the award-winning adventure Lost in Lexicon by Pendred Noyce. Joan is currently illustrating a middle grade mystery/adventure, The Ice Castle, for Scarletta Press. The Ice Castle will be published in fall 2012. She lives with her husband in a small cottage near the sea in Southern California.
