THE SKETCHBOOK PROJECT:
The guys at the Art House in Atlanta, Georgia put together great group projects that are open to everyone, artists and non-artists alike. I participated for the very first time as one of the many contributors to The Sketchbook Project, Volume 3. The premise is simple: they send you a 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" Moleskin sketchbook, you fill it up, send it back, and they take your sketchbook (along with 2,000 others) on tour to various galleries around the country. The theme - "Everyone We Know" - was wide open to interpretation. For my project, I decided to fashion a little tongue-in-cheek horror story as an homage to the comics I loved as a kid.
